Brian Elwell’s colourful and imaginative paintings are the result of many years of searching to find an original and sustainable personal vision. A vision that will intrigue the viewer by virtue of the juxtaposition of surprising images, at once strange and yet familiar. The "Personages" series of paintings "resulted from studies made of my own head reflected in shop windows. I felt as though they said something about my connectedness to the city - me as a part of it, and it as a part of me". The work stimulates questions of identity in todays society. Printed onto a high quality canvas and stretched over a chunky box frame.
