London Photography - Tate Britain, Staircase Geometry (#AA_LP_03)
About:A collection of London based photography by David Smith. With architecture my principal photography subject, one of the things I look for is the happy, and sometimes unhappy, juxtaposition of contrasting styles, as in British Museum, Old and New and the brooding mono image of St Paul’s dominated by the Millennium Bridge. I tend to favour hard geometric forms, leaning towards the abstract, as in Tate Britain’s Staircase Geometry, while the human figure, when it does appear, is usually only for scale (Tooley Street -Office Windows). I also seek out oddities such as Rooftops SE1, which generally go unnoticed, while the over-familiar London Eye required a new and more dynamic take.
