About: "Washing Machine 2026 Series 2" is a limited edition series of abstract designs created by Christine Wilkinson. The original idea for this work was inpired by her pet "My cat would sit quietly for hours staring at the washing machine. What did she see?"
A piece from the the original "Washing Machine 2023 Series" was awarded The Thomas Burberry Prize for Print in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2023
Medium: Limited to an edition run of 10, each image is printed using a 12 colour giclée fine art printing process onto a luxurious 410gsm Hahnemühle Monet cotton canvas material.
The printed canvas is then carefully hand stretched over a chunky 38mm deep stretcher bar frame milled from the finest quality kiln dried knotless pine sourced from sustainable European forests. It is then finished with a stylish white wooden float frame to create a special work of art.

Artist Info: Following a career as a camerawoman which spanned shooting music videos for MTV to documentary filming in Burma, Christine has developed a unique style with a bold contemporary edge. She trained at London College of Printing (Foundation in Graphic Design); North East London Polytechnic (BA Hons Communication Design) and Middlesex University (Postgraduate Diploma in Film and Television). Her work has been exhibited in the UK, USA and China and is also in collections in Belgium, the Netherlands and Indonesia.
