About: Horizons is a collection of original oil paintings by Cambridgeshire based artist, Cheryl Liston. “Painting is my way of escaping the busy and hectic reality of day to day life. I love the freedom that painting with oils gives me, allowing my work to be more abstract and expressive. I have a particular love of painting the sea and all things coastal, there’s something so uplifting about the vastness of the skyline sitting over the ocean. I also find inspiration in the countryside of Cambridgeshire, where I live. The beauty of the landscape changing, sunrises and sunsets, in particular, moody skies. I capture these atmospheric elements in my paintings by embracing colour, light and tone.”
